One day I was scrolling through Instagram (you know – as we do) and I stumbled upon this amazing place that looked like a treehouse and a cabin rolled into one and then I realized…it was 20 minutes away from me. Cue my instant obsession that I must stay there as soon as possible.

Sometimes you don’t have to go far to get what you need. Staycations can be just as amazing as a vacation far away. Don’t get me wrong – I love traveling and given the chance, I’ll be on a flight to Asia before I’ll be staying 20 minutes from home but this spot was exactly what I needed. Not only is The Sanctuary Nashville perfect for a staycation, but it’s also perfect for those seeking unique accommodation in Nashville.

Listen – hotels in Nashville are crazy expensive. You almost have to have a car to visit Nashville anyway (if you want to see the real Nashville at least) so why not skip staying downtown and head to this awesome place.
The Accommodation
You’re not just paying for a simple room here. You actually have three separate spaces that are completely yours during your stay – the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, a living room space, and an enclosed gazebo.
Randi is a spectacular host – she’ll be available to walk you through or talk you through everything over the phone when you arrive. She’s also available as much or as little as you need her but if privacy is your thing – then you’ve got that too!
The property is about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville, less than a mile from the interstate but yet feels very secluded and private.
The great room is a large living room like space with a sitting area, a pub table, large Smart TV with Hulu and Netflix, a wood-burning fireplace and a dartboard. This room is extremely big and cozy and the stained glass windows really give it a unique atmosphere.
The gazebo is lovely and probably my favorite spot – it’s completely screened in with a gas firepit and a ceiling fan. Great for days spent reading or evenings spent talking over a fire.
The Room
The bedroom is really like a studio apartment with a double bed, a full kitchen and a bathroom with a rather spacious stand-up shower.
The kitchen comes complete with a gas stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and sink. There is also a small sitting area with a gas fireplace and a clothes hanging rack. In the cabinets, you’ll find coffee, granola bars, popcorn, water, and more goodies!
Amenities
- Wi-fi
- Indoor fireplaces
- Iron
- TV
- Free parking
- Full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils

Location
Since this is also their private residence, I won’t be providing the exact address but I did map the nearest gas station which is 1-2 miles away! The Sanctuary is only 20 minutes from downtown. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby as well including Harpeth River State Park, Montgomery Bell State Park, Edwin & Percy Warner Park and more!
Price
Right now, the price is only $100 per night which is incredible for the value! You should definitely snag a few nights here before it gets even more popular and the price goes up!

Overall
I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone! It’s fantastic for a couple looking for a romantic weekend alone, best friends wanting to get away for a Nashville weekend or just an individual needing a quiet staycation.
Since I’m from Nashville, I didn’t go out exploring really – I just used the time to read, write and relax and it was exactly what I needed!
I loved the special touches like the stained glass windows on the decks and in the great room and the Star Wars themed memorabilia in the great room. Everything felt so cozy and like I could easily live there!
What to Pack for Nashville
Pacsafe Cross Body Purse (I love my Pacsafe products and would highly recommend using them when traveling)
Comfortable Shoes (my feet tend to hurt pretty easily and these are the best shoes I’ve had in a while for walking a lot)

Fantastic info! Looks like an awesome getaway. Will need to check out.
I love finding unique places to stay and this looks wonderful. Except that the bed looks like it’s in the kitchen! Love that gazebo – what a special spot. Thanks for the inspiration to take a staycation!
I was waiting and waiting for your post on this spot! Ever since I spotted it on Instagram. I am in love with this spot and absolutely want to stay here. It looks perfect for a one-person retreat. I will say I don’t love the bed, but the rest of the cabin looks totally adorable!
I love me a good staycation, especially in a tree house. We are heading up to Nashville in about two months and would love to stay here, but I think we already have accommodations booked. Still, this looks right up our alley and way super cool.
I had no idea Nashville had something so unique. Like you, I can’t believe it’s so close to me (although more like 3 hours than 20 minutes for me)! That is a spacious cabin (can’t believe Hulu and Netflix are included) and the gazebo is adorable, I love that it’s totally screened in! The price is incredibly affordable especially for what you get. I’m highly interested in staying here!
People seem to gripe about how expensive these little boutique places are, but it gives you so much charm! The fact that it also has a Kitchen that you can utilize will save you literally hundreds of dollars on eating out while on vacation if you utilize that space. This place is so cute and homey and somewhere I feel like I could relax outside the hustle and bustle of the city.
Your room looks so spacious! I like how cute the bed is and that you have all the amenities available to you. With only 20 mins away, it is a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
This seems so removed from the hustle and bustle of Nashville. I think it would be the perfect oasis! I love all the wood and decor. I’ll keep this in mind for a weekend getaway.
