As a wanderer at heart, I will always strive to see everything this world has to offer. Even though a best bucket list is seen in a morbid light, I like to keep one to remind myself of all the wonderful things I want to see and places I want to go. Every week, I will showcase ten of the items on my list.
1. Go Skydiving.
Of course the adrenaline junkie in me wants to jump out of an airplane. Doesn’t really need any more explanation than that.
2. Iguazu Falls
The Iguazu Falls are part of the Iguazu River and border Argentina and Brazil.
3. Visit the Great Wall of China.
The Great Wall of China has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, winding up an down 5,500 miles from east to west China. My other half has already been here. He’ll just have to suck it up and go a second time. How terrible.
4. Go Horseback Riding on the Beach
If you’ve been following along, I have a slight obsession with horses. I grew up around racehorses because my great-grandpa had a racehorse farm and I worked with show horses for about three years while in school. When I eventually settle down, I will have horses of my own. Until then, riding them on the beach is a long-standing bucket list item of mine. St. Lucia is a great place to do just that – and many other places!

5. Become a Polyglot.
A polyglot is someone who knows several languages. And, I want to be one. I semi-know Spanish. I need to finish mastering that one and then I think it’s time to strive for something more exciting for me such as Icelandic.
6. Travel the Historic Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles.
This is happening in just a couple months! Instead of flying to LA in October to catch our flight to Bangkok, we’ve decided to leave the States with a bang!

7. See the Fairy Pools in Scotland
The gorgeous crystal clear pools are located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and who wouldn’t want to see them?!
8. Go to the top of the Stairway to Heaven.
The official name for this hike is the Haiku Stairs and it’s a steel staircase made up of about 4,000 steps. Originally built so the military could reach the radio station at the top during World War II, the trail is actually closed and illegal to do. However, many still do attempt the hike all the time.
9. Visit the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona.
A national park that you don’t really hear much about and it looks absolutely gorgeous.
10. Bike the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Yep, you read that right. Biking and drinking. No one could possibly get hurt. This isn’t far from us at all so it could happen at any time!

Have you done any of these? Would you?
Any of these on your best bucket list? Any suggestions to add to my list?

Great bucket list you have there! I really need to put mine down in black and white sometime soon! Thanks to people like you, it’s getting longer than my arm!! 🙂
I’ve skydived – once was enough though!
My bucket list involves the Galapagos, Whitsundays, and a number of other places.
ZOMG fairies!
